Following the Supreme Court’s order that the Ayodhya land case will be listed in the first week of January for fixing a date for hearing, leaders from the VHP on Monday demanded the centre to bring an ordinance for the construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. Now, the Shiv Sena and the RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) have joined the VHP's mandir call as they are also urging the centre to bring out an ordinance so that the disputed land should be given for the creation of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.
“The place should be given for the construction of Ram Mandir. The Government must bring an ordinance on this, and if there is a delay from judiciary's side, then RSS is with the saints in their decision," said RSS leader Arun Kumar.
On the other hand, Shiv Sena leader said that the court has nothing to do with the Ayodhya matter and that the Ram mandir can only be built in Ayodhya.
"We have been saying that the court has nothing to do with the Ayodhya matter. Ram Mandir cannot be made in Karachi or Pakistan. Ram Mandir can only be built in Ayodhya. And, Shiv Sena wants Ram Mandir to be built in Ayodhya only. No political party should make the creation of Ram Mandir an issue and that is why the centre should bring an ordinance in the matter,” said Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut speaking in the matter.
Apparently, RSS has scheduled a meeting on October 30 in Mumbai, in the presence of chief Mohan Bhagwat, to discuss an array of issues. While the meeting is scheduled to go on till November 3, Ram Mandir issue has been added to agendas to be discussed in the meeting.
Earlier in the day, working president of VHP, Alok Kumar demanded the centre to bring an ordinance in the upcoming Winter session for the creation of Ram Mandir as soon as possible. While addressing a press conference, he said:
"Honourable Supreme Court has once again adjourned the hearing of the Ram Janmabhoomi appeals to the year 2019. This fortifies the VHP's stance that the solution to the Ram Janmabhoomi issue is not in eternally waiting for the hearing of the appeals pending now for almost 7 years. The VHP reiterates its request to the union government to now enact a law to clear the way for a grand temple of Shri Ram at Ayodhya. This may be done at the coming Winter Session of Parliament. The VHP shall intensify its campaign to achieve this objective."
