Arun Jaitely passes away: Amit Shah condoles, calls him family
Home Minister Amit Shah expressed extreme sadness in the demise of former Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and said that he had lost a member of his family.

Former Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2019 after being admitted to AIIMS in New Delhi on August 9, the hospital has announced in a statement. The AIIMS issued a statement informing about his demise on Saturday. On the day Arun Jaitley had been admitted to AIIMS, the hospital had issued a statement saying that he was being given treatment in the ICU under a multidisciplinary team of doctors, and that at that point he was haemo dynamically stable. Arun Jaitley unfortunate demise marks the end of an extraordinary career that has witnessed him holding incredibly important positions at various levels, both in the government and outside.

Home Minister Amit Shah expressed extreme sadness in the demise of former Finance Minister Arun Jaitley. The president of the BJP said that Arun Jaitley was more than just a leader and was a member of his family who was guiding him through the years. "I am deeply saddened by the death of Arun Jaitley, Jaitley's departure is a personal loss for me. As him, I have lost not only a senior leader of the organization but also an integral member of the family whose support and guidance I have been receiving for years", wrote Home Minister Amit Shah.
