As HM Amit Shah turns 55, political leaders extend their wishes

Former Andhra CM and President of the Telugu Desam Party, N Chandrababu Naidu, extended birthday wishes to Union Minister Amit Shah who turned 55 on Tuesday

Former chief minister and President of the Telugu Desam Party N Chandrababu Naidu has extended birthday wishes to Union Minister Amit Shah who turned 55 on October 22. Chandrababu Naidu was a key member of the NDA till he parted ways in March 2018 over the demand for special category status for Andhra Pradesh.

Naidu took to Twitter and wished the Union Minister good health and happiness.

Chief Ministers wish Amit Shah

Furthermore, Chief Ministers of Goa and Punjab, Pramod Sawant and Captain Amarinder Singh respectively, penned their heartiest messages for Amit Shah.

Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Bhupesh Baghel also congratulated Shah and wished him good health and longevity.

Amit Shah's career

Amit Shah was born in Mumbai in 1964 and was brought up at his paternal village in Maansa, Gujarat, till the age of 16. Shah briefly worked for Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), the student wing of RSS, before joining the BJP in 1984-85. Shah was commended for his organisational skills and was later appointed as the National Treasurer of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha. Further, he was appointed as the State Secretary and State Vice President of the party in Gujarat. In the Narendra Modi-led Gujarat Government, Shah headed several key portfolios. Known for his sharp political acumen, Shah took over as the BJP President soon after NDA emerged victorious in 2014 general elections.
