In a shocking incident in Mumbai, the CEO, HR head, and marketing head of Bisleri International Pvt. Ltd were assaulted by four unidentified individuals wielding iron rods and pipes. The attackers, suspected to be employees of the company named Atul Raorane, Makrand Parab, and Sameer Mayekar, are currently at large, evading identification.
According to the filed police FIR, the company's HR head, Sameer Gaikwad (38), along with the CEO and marketing head, had gone for lunch at NH-1 hotel near their office. Around 2.50 pm, as they were returning to the office and walking on the footpath by the Glenmark Company compound, near a bus stop, the assailants, aged between 25 and 30, with their faces concealed by handkerchiefs, launched a sudden attack with iron rods and pipes.
The attackers targeted Gaikwad's head with an iron rod when he attempted to intervene, causing serious injuries to his right hand. Despite efforts by George and Malhotra to save Gaikwad, they too fell victim to the assault. George's left hand and fingers were struck with the iron rod, while Malhotra was hit on the shin before the assailants fled the scene.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone-10) Datta Nalawade confirmed that the accused remain unidentified, and the investigation is currently underway.
Sameer Gaikwad filed a case against the unidentified individuals under sections 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 324 (hurt by dangerous weapons), and 326 (voluntarily causing grievous hurt by dangerous weapons or means) of the Indian Penal Code at Andheri Police Station on Thursday. Regarding the incident, Gaikwad said, "I am not able to comment on the incident at this moment. It is largely speculative at this time, and I will be in a better position to provide updates after a few days," he told the FPJ.
