While speaking on the grand celebrations planned in Ayodhya, national secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Tarun Chugh said, "Lord Shri Ram is our idol and every Indian celebrates his homecoming after his victory of good over evil and UP government is organising a grand event in Ayodhya. A similar event was organised last year too and this is a matter of great pride for us. This also sends out a clear message that we all must work for the unity of country and should follow the path shown by Lord Ram."

"We believe that such events should have been organised soon after we got independence but previous governments always shied from taking the name of Lord Ram but today it's a matter of national pride that we celebrate such events. Under previous regimes too, people celebrated Diwali but now there is a lot of difference in the way of celebrating. Previous governments just believed in the politics of appeasement," he further added.
