Ayodhya Verdict: Chattisgarh CM appeals for peace and harmony

Ahead of the Supreme Court verdict on Ayodhya, Chattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Singh has appealed people of the state to maintain peace and harmony.

Ahead of the Supreme Court verdict on the Ayodhya title suit on November 9, Chattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Singh has appealed to the people of the state to maintain peace and harmony. The Chattisgarh Chief Minister has also made an earnest request to rely on the information coming from official sources only and not believe in rumours. Bhupesh Singh has also instructed the Chief Secretary and Director-General of Police to take all the necessary preventive measures to avoid any untoward incident following the Supreme Court judgment. He has also asked the state police to remain cautious.

Preventive Measures 

Apart from Chattisgarh, Chief Ministers and security officials of various other states have appealed to the people of their respective states to maintain peace and harmony in view of the SC verdict on the Ayodhya land dispute case. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath released a statement on November 9 and appealed everyone to maintain peace and to not look at the verdict as a 'win or lose situation'. Chief Ministers of Punjab and Odisha have also reviewed the security arrangements in their respective states in view of the Supreme Court verdict.

SC Development

The Ayodhya land dispute, which is one of the longest standing legal battles the country has ever seen, saw its conclusion on November 9, 2019. Various security and other arrangements have been made to ensure peace and harmony in the country. Section 144 has been imposed by various states.
