Ayodhya verdict: Neither victory, nor loss for anyone, says JP Nadda
BJP working President JP Nadda stated that the unanimous decision taken by the Supreme Court on Ayodhya makes everyone realise the democratic values of India.

Hailing the unanimous judgment of the Supreme Court on the seven-decade long Ayodhya land dispute, BJP working president Jagat Prakash Nadda on Saturday said his party welcomed the Ayodhya verdict by the SC while maintaining that it is neither a victory, nor loss for anyone. In a series of tweets, Nadda said that the unanimous decision taken by the Supreme Court on Ayodhya reminds everyone of the democratic values of India. He further added that while respecting the decision of the judiciary of the country, the citizens have to maintain a peaceful and amicable atmosphere.

Nadda added that the BJP also respects people of the country who have kept the social, cultural and spiritual fabric of the country intact. He further noted that "this decision has given a clear message that the whole of India is united and the roots of democracy in India are very strong".

Supreme Court's Ayodhya verdict
Pronouncing the landmark judgment in the Ayodhya dispute case, the Supreme Court on Saturday, delivered a unanimous judgment in the title suit of the disputed area awarding it to the Hindu parties for the construction of a temple. It also directed the Centre to come up with a scheme within three months to set up a trust which will hand over the outer courtyard and inner courtyard of the site for construction of a temple. Apart from this, the SC stated that an alternate land of 5 acres is to be allotted to Muslims for the liberty of constructing a mosque, either by the central govt or the State govt, in a suitable and prominent place in Ayodhya. CJI Ranjan Gogoi, while delivering the unanimous judgment, dismissed the claims of the Sunni Central Waqf Board and the Nirmohi Akhara. He also termed that the three-way division of the disputed land by the Allahabad HC in its 2010 verdict is wrong.
