The incident occurred under the Hardi police station area in Mahsi Tehsil on Sunday evening, during which stones were pelted at the procession in the Maharajganj town. On information, the local police along with the troops of security forces rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control.According to the police sources, the incident occurred after a dispute broke out between two communities during idol immersion. As per reports, gunshots were also fired apart from the stone pelting during the incident. The deceased has been identified as Ram Gopal Mishra (22), a resident of Rehua, who was part of the procession. He received bullet injuries leading to his death.
