The fifth day of Diwali, observed as Bhai Dooj was celebrated across the country on Tuesday. The day that marks the bond between a brother and sister and cherishes the relationship shared between siblings. It is also the last day of the festival of lights, Diwali. Diwali, which is also the most celebrated festival in India, on its last day, saw social media platforms brimming with people sharing love for their siblings on the occasion of Bhai Dooj.

PM Modi, Amit Shah extend wishes on Bhai Dooj

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday shared his best wishes to fellow citizens on the occasion of Bhai Dooj. He posted a Hindi message on the micro-blogging site Twitter which read, “Best wishes to all of you on the occasion of Bhai Dooj, a symbol of affection and love between brothers and sisters. This auspicious occasion should further strengthen mutual relations.” Home Minister Amit Shah also shared his greetings on Bhai Dooj. “Many wishes to all of you on the auspicious occasion of Bhai Dooj,” tweeted Shah. He also shared a cartoon poster giving the same message.
