2 Village Defence Group Members Missing in Kishtwar Feared Dead in Suspected Terror Attack
Two Village Defence Group (VDG) members who had gone missing in a suspected terrorist attack in Kishtwar are feared killed.

Kishtwar, Srinagar: Two members of a Village Defence Group (VDG) have gone missing in the Kishtwar district, sparking fears that they may have fallen victim to a terrorist attack. The missing VDG members, identified as Nazir Ahmed and Kuldeep Kumar, had reportedly gone to the Munzla Dhar area to graze their cattle but did not return.
The Jammu and Kashmir Police have launched an extensive search operation to locate the two men. According to police sources, there is a strong suspicion that Ahmed and Kumar may have been killed by terrorists operating in the upper reaches of the region. As of now, their bodies have not been found, but the search effort continues.
Meanwhile, security forces have launched a massive cordon and search operation in North Kashmir's Sopore. Acting on credible intelligence inputs regarding the presence of terrorists in the area, the security forces surrounded the suspected hideout and engaged in a heavy exchange of fire.
According to an official statement, two to three terrorists are believed to be trapped, and an encounter is currently underway.
