BREAKING: Irfan Pathan's Makeup Artist Dies After Drowning in West Indies Pool

New Delhi: Amid the ongoing T20 World Cup, Fayaz Ansari, former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan's makeup artist died after drowning in a swimming pool in the West Indies. Ansari had accompanied Pathan for the ongoing T20 World Cup.

Ansari, originally from Mohalla Qazi Sarai in Nagina Tehsil, Bijnor, relocated to Mumbai 22 years ago and established his own salon. Irfan Pathan became a regular client, and eventually, Ansari became Pathan’s personal makeup artist, travelling with him internationally.

According to Mohammad Ahmed, Ansari’s cousin, the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 is currently being held in the USA and the West Indies, with the Super 8 matches taking place in the West Indies.

Pathan, part of the commentary team, had taken Ansari along for the trip. On the evening of June 21, Ansari tragically drowned in the hotel swimming pool while swimming, leaving his family devastated.

Ansari had married just two months ago and had recently travelled to Mumbai from Nagina, Bijnor, only eight days before the incident. His untimely demise has plunged his family into grief, with his wife and relatives inconsolable.

Reports claimed that Irfan Pathan is personally handling all the necessary formalities in the West Indies to bring Ansari’s body back to India. The family plans to receive the body in Delhi, with the process expected to take three to four days.
