New Delhi: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is conducting raids at 31 locations in Haryana and Rajasthan in connection with the murder of Karni Sena chief Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi. Most raids are reportedly on gangsters in Haryana. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is also conducting raids in the matter. The raids are being conducted based on the information obtained during the interrogation.
The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) had recently handed over the investigation into the murder to the NIA in view of the involvement of high-profile gangsters in the murder. After taking over the case, the NIA questioned the suspects.
Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena president Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi was shot dead at his home in Jaipur on December 5.
Soon after the incident, gangster Rohit Godara, who is associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, in a Facebook post took responsibility for Gogamedi's murder. A few months before the murder, Rohit Godara had made a threat call to Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi from a Dubai number.
