The Delhi Police Special Cell has arrested seven alleged shooters from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang during a pan-India operation
New Delhi: In a major breakthrough, the Delhi Police Special Cell has arrested seven alleged shooters from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang during a pan-India operation, with all arrests reportedly made across Punjab and nearby states. The operation also led to the seizure of multiple weapons from the suspects.
The special cell’s crackdown comes amid an intensified campaign against the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Sources indicate that the arrested shooters are also under interrogation concerning their potential involvement in the high-profile Baba Siddique murder case.
Earlier in the day, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) had escalated its efforts against Anmol Bishnoi, a key figure reportedly managing the gang’s operations from Canada and the United States while Lawrence Bishnoi remains incarcerated in Gujarat 's Sabarmati Jail. The NIA recently issued a reward of ₹10 lakh for any information leading to Anmol Bishnoi's capture, listing him among the agency's most wanted individuals.
Anmol Bishnoi has been linked to several violent incidents, including responsibility for an alleged firing outside Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s residence on April 15. His name has also emerged in connection with the murder of politician Baba Siddique, with reports suggesting he communicated with shooters involved in the killing. Following these revelations, the Mumbai Police has issued a Look Out Circular (LOC) to prevent Anmol Bishnoi’s possible entry into India.
