New Delhi: With rural poor in focus, Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led council of ministers held its first cabinet meeting on Monday, during which the newly-formed government decided to provide assistance for constructing three crore additional rural and urban houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY).Here are the key takeaways from Modi 3.0's first Cabinet Meeting:The central government will provide assistance to three crore additional rural and urban households for the construction of houses, to meet the housing requirements arising out of the increase in the number of eligible families under the PMAY.The government is implementing PMAY since 2015-16 to provide assistance to the eligible rural and urban households for construction of houses with basic amenities.
