Punjab: A Pakistani drone was intercepted by Border Security Force (BSF) troops in violation of Indian airspace on the morning of Sunday, November 26. The incident was reported following a search operation in Amritsar district's Chak Allah Baksh village. During the operation, BSF troops recovered a cache of illegal items.

The interception resulted in the recovery of a substantial haul, which included a pistol, two magazines, 20 live rounds, and 5.240 kilograms of heroin. The discovery of these illegal possessions in the village area has heightened concerns about cross-border activity and narcotics smuggling into Indian territory by Pakistan.

“In the early morning hours of 26th November, a Pakistani drone violated Indian airspace, which was intercepted by BSF troops with firing. During the search operation, BSF troops recovered a Pistol, 2 Magazines, 20 live rounds and 5.240kg of heroin from Chak Allah Baksh village, Amritsar district,” BSF Punjab said.

The seizure of weapons and narcotics by the Border Security Force emphasises the importance of ongoing surveillance and stringent measures to protect Indian territories from such incursions and illegal trafficking attempts by foreign elements.
