Chandrababu Naidu on TN Seshan: 'An inspiration to future generations'
TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu on Monday expressed condolences on the demise of former CEC TN Seshan and called him as "an inspiration to future generations."

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief N Chandrababu Naidu on Monday, November 11, expressed his condolences on the demise of former Chief Election Commissioner TN Seshan (CEC) TN Seshan and called him 'an inspiration to future generations'. According to reports, Naidu said Seshan had empowered the democracy in India. He further added that "Seshan is a proud son of the soil. He is a great inspiration to contemporary bureaucrats." Taking it to Twitter, Naidu said that Sheshan's "contribution to strengthening our nation will always be in our memories." Sheshan passed away due to a cardiac arrest at the age of 86 on Sunday evening, November 10 in Chennai.

PM Modi pays tribute
Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid his tributes over the demise of the former CEC. Taking it to Twitter, PM Modi called Seshan "an outstanding civil servant."

About TN Seshan
The former CEC, TN Seshan was known as someone who ruthlessly enforced the Model Code of Conduct and led the game-changing electoral reforms in the 1990s. Known for his "no-nonsense" attitude, Seshan was credited with ushering in major electoral reforms during his tenure as the 10th CEC between December 12, 1990, and December 11, 1996. It was believed that Seshan used to own a big stick while enforcing the model code of conduct to reign in muscle and money power during elections. He was born in Thirunellai, Palakkad district, Kerala.
