'Mission Mangal' actor Akshay Kumar who played the role of a scientist in his latest film, took to his Twitter handle to share a morale-boosting message for ISRO scientists. He wrote that he is proud and confident that Chandrayaan 2 will make way for Chandrayaan 3 soon and 'we will rise again', he wrote. ISRO's plan to soft-land Chandrayaan-2's Vikram module on the Lunar surface did not go as per script in the early hours of Saturday, with the lander losing communication with ground stations during its final descent. Vikram Lander loses contact
Towards the final moments of the historic feat, just before it landed on the surface of the Moon, the mission suffered some technical glitches. As it stands, ISRO's Twitter handle shared that they have lost communication at 3:00am IST. Speaking about the situation, ISRO Chairman K Sivan confirmed in a statement that contact with Vikram lander was lost at about 2.1 kilometers above the Moon's surface and added that the ground station is analysing the data. ISRO said the data from the Chandrayaan 2 mission is being analysed.

ABOUT MISSION MANGAL
In "Mission Mangal", Akshay plays the role of a scientist, who along with fellow colleagues spearheads India's mission to send a spacecraft to orbit Mars. The film, directed by Jagan Shakti, is based on real-life scientists, who contributed to India's first interplanetary expedition, Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM), launched by ISRO in 2013. The trailer of the movie has generated a lot of traction on social media. Other than Akshay Kumar, there are five more leading female actresses are in the film. The movie also stars veteran actor Dalip Tahil, Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub, and Sharat Saxena.
