Chhath Puja 2024: Tejas, Vande Bharat Special Trains – Delhi to Patna Routes, Timings, Fares

Chhath Puja Special Trains: In preparation for the festive rush during Diwali and Chhath Puja, Indian Railways has announced the operation of several special trains, including the Tejas Superfast Festival Special and Vande Bharat Express, to facilitate travel between Delhi and Bihar .

Tejas Superfast Festival Special

From Delhi to Patna: This train will operate on select days—October 29, 31, November 2, and 5—departing from New Delhi at 8:25 AM and reaching Patna Junction at 8:30 PM, with multiple stops along the route.

Return Journey (Patna to Delhi): The train will run on October 30, November 1, 3, and 6, leaving Patna at 7:30 AM and arriving in New Delhi at 7:35 PM, making stops at key stations such as Ara, Buxar, and Kanpur Central.

Vande Bharat Express (Patna-Delhi)

For the first time, a Vande Bharat Express will serve the Patna-Delhi route during the festive season, significantly reducing travel time to approximately 11.5 hours. This train, featuring only chair car seating, will depart from New Delhi at 8:25 AM on October 30, November 1, 3, and 6, arriving in Patna at 8:00 PM. The return service will run on November 2, 4, and 7, leaving Patna at 7:30 AM.

Delhi-Patna Superfast Festival Special

The Delhi-Patna Superfast Festival Special Express will also operate on October 24 and 31, departing from Delhi at 11:55 PM and arriving in Patna at 4:40 PM the next day. The return journey will occur on October 25 and November 1, with departures from Patna at 5:50 PM.

These special trains aim to accommodate the heavy passenger influx during the festive season, providing more travel options for those heading to Bihar to celebrate Diwali .
