CM Yogi to unveil Chaudhary Charan Singh's statue today

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday will unveil a 51 foot tall statue of former Prime Minister Chaudharuy Charan Singh in Moradabad;s Bilari Assembly.
The Chief Minister will also hold a conference and honour farmers. Aiming for the crucial Jat votes in Western Uttar Pradesh, the BJP is preparing for the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections alongside other political parties.
According to media reports, Jayant Chaudhary, Rajya Sabha MP and the grandson of Chaudhary Charan Singh, has also been invited to the programme.
The grandson of Chaudhary Charan Singh, Rajya Sabha MP Jayant Chaudhary, has reportedly also received an invitation to the event.
In addition, the Chief Minister has invited all of the Jat leaders from Western Uttar Pradesh to the function and will also be honoring fifteen young farmers.
Recently, the BJP portrayed Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar's mimicry incident as an insult to the whole Jat community and also held a protest at Jantar Mantar seeking TMC MP Kalyan Banerjee's apology.
The primary opposition party in Uttar Pradesh, the Samajwadi Party, however, praised the statue's unveiling as well.
"It's a proud moment for us that a 50-foot-tall statue is being installed here, and I welcome the chief minister," stated SP leader and MLA for Bilari Assembly, Muhammad Faheem Irfan. We're hoping that CM would provide some new information and give the constituency some gifts." (With inputs from ANI)
