Patna: Body of a 75-year-old woman was recovered from her residence in Buddha colony in Bihar's Patna on Tuesday. The victim has been identified as Lalita Devi. The CCTVs are being scanned to investigate the matter.

According to SP Central Patna, Vaibhav Sharma, initially it was a suspected case of murder during robbery as few ornaments were missing but since most of the things such as almirah are intact police are probing from different angles. No arrests have been made so far.

SP Vaibhav Sharma said, "A body of an old woman named Lalita Devi was recovered from Buddha colony and since we found a forced entry proof on the back door, we did an investigation in that and initially we thought that it's a case of robbery as few ornaments were missing...but most of the things such as almirahs were intact...so we have started investigating this issue from a different angle.”

Family issue is also being suspected to be a possible reason behind the septuagenarian's murder.

“Some family issues also came to the fore. We have also started taking actions based on the CCTV footage...No arrests have been made so far, and we are getting the investigation done," he added.
