Driver reveals details in Karni Sena Chief's murder case, recounts moments leading to assassination
In the wake of Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi's murder, the driver reveals crucial details about dropping off the alleged assailants, leading to a police shootout.
The unfolding events surrounding the chilling murder of Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi, the chief of Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena, have taken a poignant turn with the driver, Yogesh Sharma, shedding light on the crucial moments before the heinous act. Sharma, the driver who transported the alleged assailants, revealed significant details in an conversation with ANI on Thursday, December 7.
Insight into the moments before the crime
"I got a call from the boy, who stays with me, that two passengers were to be dropped off at Sujangarh. I agreed. On the way, they asked me to drop them off in Hisar. I refused and dropped them off in Sujangarh instead," disclosed Sharma.
Describing the interaction with the suspects, Sharma continued, "From the Sujangarh bus stand, they boarded a private bus. They were talking to me very normally." However, the seemingly ordinary interaction took a grim turn when news of the murder surfaced the following morning. Upon seeing the suspects' faces in the news, Sharma concluded, “I was convinced that these were the same men whom I dropped off in Sujangarh that night.”
Identification of alleged shooters and police action
In a recent development, the Rajasthan Police identified the alleged shooters involved in the assassination. Rohit Rathore Makrana and Nitin Fauji were named as the two assailants, with Fauji hailing from Mahendragarh in Haryana. The third alleged assailant, Naveen Shekhawat, met his demise at Gogamedi's residence during an exchange of gunfire with the police. Additionally, a security guard sustained injuries during the crossfire.
In response to this alarming incident, authorities took action by suspending two police personnel, including the station house officer (SHO). The demise of Gogamedi, shot dead in Jaipur on Tuesday, continues to send shockwaves across the region, leaving behind a trail of inquiries. The investigation into this event remains ongoing, with law enforcement officials pursuing leads to bring closure to this episode.
Karni Sena calls for justice
In a related development, activists of Shri Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena protested in Indore following the killing of their president, Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi. Activists blocked the Indore-Ujjain road, which was later cleared after police intervention. Anurag Pratap Singh Raghav stated, “If appropriate action is not taken against the killers of Gogamedi, the Karni Sena will give a befitting reply to them in our own way.” However, the blockade was called off as Rajasthan's promise to apprehend the accused halted the MP bandh.
