DRUG BUST: 25 kilos Pseudoephedrine seized by CISF from a South African national at New Delhi Airport
In a major drug bust, CISF authorities at the IGI Airport in New Delhi, on Thursday, has reportedly seized 25 kilos of white granular substance in eight hidden pouches, worth Rs.25 lakh, on a single passenger.

The foreign woman traveller who was randomly chosen was reportedly stopped at Terminal -3 and her luggage was checked. In a shocking twist, eight pouches were allegedly found in her luggage containing a white granular substance - six pouches were found concealed in the false bottom of a trolley bag, two more were found concealed in two books in another bag, all allegedly containing the same white powder which was suspected to be a narcotics substance.
On testing with the drug detection kit, it was reportedly confirmed that the drug was Pseudoephedrine.
Curiously, the woman who was reportedly travelling from New Delhi to Johannesburg via Abu Dhabi had concealed the pouches in the books by cutting the inner pages of the books and making sufficient space so that the said packets can be concealed. She was later handed over to the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) who will reportedly be taking up further necessary action.
Earlier on Wednesday, NCB Lucknow had seized 60 Kg Ganja at Nehru Nagar, Chandauli (UP) from the false cavity of Tata Sumo & arrested two drug traffickers namely Bhushan Singh and Satish Bishwas. The drugs were traced to their source in Raigarh, Odisha.
NCB's counterparts in Guwahati and Chandigarh too had seized drugs from drug traffickers who have allegedly using courier services to transport the drugs.
