In a major victory for the forces, security forces on Monday have gunned down two terrorists after an encounter with the forces, as confirmed by Kashmir Zone Police. Police have added that arms and ammunition have been recovered now. Identity and affiliation of the terrorists is also being ascertained by the forces.
Pak infiltration bid foiled
Earlier on Friday, the Indian Army had foiled a major infiltration bid by terrorists after Pakistan violated ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Krishna Ghati sector in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district. According to reports, Pakistan violated ceasefire for the second time on Friday morning at 11.45 am. Earlier, the Pakistani Rangers violated the ceasefire in the same area at about 2.30 am on Friday night. According to the Defence officials, while the Indian Army retaliated befittingly, one army jawan lost his life during a ceasefire violation.
Indian Army busts Hizbul terror hideout in J&K's Kishtwar
On Tuesday, Jammu and Kashmir Police and security forces have unearthed a terrorist hideout in Jammu's Kishtwar district, sources informed Republic TV. The hideout belongs to terror outfit Hizbul Mujhauddin, and one man has been arrested. Sources said that the man is an aide of the Hizbul terrorist. The raids were carried out in the house of a man Asif Mustafa, as per inputs.
Exposing Pakistan's involvement in spreading terror in Jammu-Kashmir, several weapons have been recovered from the hideout with marks that said Made in Pakistan. Among the thing that has been recovered are hand grenades, AK-47, magazines and other ammunition. Republic TV has accessed videos of the raids.
Earlier violation of ceasefire by Pak
Ahead of the media briefing by the delegation of Members of European Parliament who visited Kashmir on October 29, Pakistan Army on October 30 violated ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Machhil sector of the Kupwara district. A civilian identified as Mohammed Yusuf Khan (65) was killed in the ceasefire violation. Further, seven people among whom four were children have been injured in the attack.
Pak targetting civilians
Pakistan continues to attack civilians and army officials along the LoC. At least four civilians were injured in a ceasefire violation by Pakistan in the Drangiyari Tregam sector of Kupwara on October 25, being the latest. There has been a rapid increase in ceasefire violations from the Pakistan side along the LoC for the past 2 years.
