Double Trouble: Now Suraj Revanna's Close Aide to File 'Sexual Harassment' Case Against Him

Bengaluru: In yet another blow to Janata Dal (Secular) MLC Suraj Revanna, one of his close aides claimed to be another victim of ‘sexual harassment’ and said that he will file a case against the former soon.  

The Karnataka Police on Sunday arrested Revanna, brother of rape-accused former MP Prajwal Revanna, in connection with a sexual assault case. The police registered a case against the JD(S) MLC at Holenarasipura rural police station for allegedly sodomising a party worker identified as Chethan KS a few days ago. 

Shivakumar, who earlier defended Revanna on sexual assault charges by filing an extortion case against Chethan, said that he will now file a case against the JD(S) MLC at the Holenarasipura police station as he too has been a victim during the COVID-19 period. It was none less than a U-turn within 24 hours. 

Double Trouble For Revanna

JD(S) worker Chethan KS (27) had complained to the police that Suraj Revanna, the eldest son of Holenarasipura MLA HD Revanna, sodomised him at his Ghannikada farmhouse in Holenarasipura Taluk on June 16.

Following the arrest, Suraj, who was brought to Bengaluru from Hassan after a medical examination at HIMS (Hassan), was taken to the residence of the 42nd additional chief metropolitan magistrate in Koramangala late evening. He was remanded in 14-day judicial custody and shifted to Central Prison, Parappana Agrahara.

He has been booked under IPC for unnatural offence, wrongful confinement, and criminal intimidation following a complaint lodged by a JD(S) party worker- Chethan. The case has now been officially transferred to the state CID for further probe.
