Fire breaks out in commercial building in Mumbai's Bandra, rescue operations underway, people feared trapped
A level-4 fire broke out on the third floor of a 9-storey MTNL building in Mumbai's BKC area.

A level-4 fire broke out on the third floor of a 9-storey MTNL building in Mumbai's BKC area.
14 fire tenders have reached the location to douse the blaze as rescue operations are underway. Over 100 people are reportedly trapped on the terrace and upper floors of the building.
The first reportedly broke at 3:11 PM on the second floor, however, the flames spread rapidly on the third and fourth floor.
No injuries or casualties have been reported, and the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.

Former Mumbai's Congress chief Milind Deora wished for a 'sake escape' for those trapped inside the MTNL building.
He said: The incident of fire at MTNL building in Bandra is very unfortunate. I wish all those who were trapped in the building a safe escape. It is expected that the fire department will be able to evacuate people as soon as possible.

Mumbai Fire brigade is taking the help of Robot Vehicle to douse the fire in BKC. The robot allows firefighters to remotely guide it to the source of fire and douse it

12 Fire engines, 1 Quick Response Vehicle, 7 water tankers, 3 ALP, 3 TTL, 3 BA Ban, 1 CP, 1 Robot Vehicle, 4 Fire Ambulance, and 10 Ambulance have reached the spot as the rescue operation is underway.

Update: As reported by Dy CFO 60 people safely rescued with the help of TTL & ALP. Approx 30 to 35 people still on terrace. Search & Rescue operation is in progress.

According to ANI, one fireman has been admitted to the hospital after experiencing suffocation. So far, 60 people have been evacuated. However, 30-35 people are still trapped on the terrace. Rescue operations are underway
