Mumbai: A woman had an incredible “first date” when she met her Tinder match at Team India’s victory parade in Mumbai on July 4. Yashi Verma, an X user, shared details of her “best first date ever” and also posted pictures that documented the memorable episode.

Thousands of fans gathered at Marine Drive on Thursday evening to celebrate the Indian team’s T20 World Cup win. The open-bus parade through this iconic Mumbai location was the evening's highlight, with the crowd eagerly waiting to see the Men in Blue.

As Virat Kohli blew flying kisses to the crowd, Yashi was lucky enough to witness the moment. She shared in her now-viral post: “My tinder match got me taking flying kisses from Kohli at the victory parade. Best first date ever.”

In one photo, Yashi and her Tinder match proudly held the national flag. Another picture showed her match at the parade, captioned: “For every November 19, there is a June 29.”

After the heartbreak in Ahmedabad on November 19, the Indian team redeemed themselves in Barbados, defeating South Africa by 7 runs in the T20 World Cup 2024 final.
