Amid the tensions between India and Pakistan over the neighbouring country's support to terror outfit JeM which perpetrated the suicide bombing on CRPF convoy in Pulwama, Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu has been facing massive flak for insisting on absolving the Indo-Pak relations, and seeking dialogue. Speaking in the matter, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal lashed out at Navjot Singh Sidhu over his concern towards Pakistan and its PM Imran Khan.
Hitting out at the Congress minister, the AAP chief on Tuesday said that Sidhu is more concerned about his friendship with Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan than the well-being of India.
"Sidhu's statement has hurt the sentiments of the entire nation," Kejriwal told media in the matter.
"It seems for Sidhu, friendship (with Khan) comes first and then the nation," the AAP national convener said as he condemned Sidhu for the "irresponsible" statement.
Earlier, senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh urged Navjot Singh Sidhu to convince his "friend" and Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan to act against terrorists.
""Navjot Singh Sidhu ji apne dost Imran bhai ko samjhaiye. Uskii vajah se aap ko gali padh rahi hai (Convince your friend Imran. You (Sidhu) are getting abused because of him)," Digvijay Singh had said in a series of tweets.
He had also asked the Imran Khan to show "guts" and hand over Hafiz Saeed and Masood Azhar to India, terming them as "self-confessed perpetrators of terror".

Navjot Singh Sidhu, who few months back was picked by Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan to be PM of India, had justified taking pro-Pakistan line in the aftermath of Pulwama terror attack, saying that "I will stick to my comment". In his statement, he however, did not condemn Pakistan or Imran Khan over its involvement in the terror attack.
"I will stick to my comment that for the sake of few terrorists, we can't stop development. We will not bow down in front of terrorists. We have to kill terrorist motives. If we will do the development work, then only we will demolish their wrong motive. Crush them who targeted us. Terrorist have no nation, religion or caste," he said.
