Blast at Meerut soap factory claims 4, several injured

UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed the officers to reach blast site to take stock of the situation and expressed condolences.

A blast at a soap factory in Uttar Pradesh's Meerut killed 4 and left several people injured. The injured were immediately shifted to the nearest hospital for treatment. As per sources, all the injured people are out of danger. Initially, 5 people were reported to have sustained injuries. Preliminary investigations reveal that the blast was caused by machinery due to the use of certain chemicals. 

As per the district magistrate of Meerut, there were labourers in the factory when the blast took place. Currently, there are no relatives to identify the deceased. 
UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed the officers to reach the spot of the blast and also expressed his condolences to the families of the deceased. CM Yogi informed that the injured needed to be taken to hospital for treatment. He conveyed his wishes for a speedy recovery.
