The applicant presented a distinctive 11-page job pitch to Swiggy, showcasing his copywriting skills and expressing a strong desire to join the company. The first page of the application featured a message directly addressing Swiggy, stating, "Copywriter hungry for Swiggy! Hi Swiggy, saw your post about hiring copywriters. Hungry for my skills? See my deck." This unconventional approach aimed to set the applicant apart from other candidates by using innovative formats and creative presentations to capture the employer's attention. Swiggy responded to the applicant's unique job pitch on social media, noting that he had 'hit the right spot' with his creative application.

Man applies in Swiggy and how can one not hire such talent?

Taking to the Job portal, LinkedIn, Rohit wrote, “Hi Swiggy! Devanshi Dhingrasaw your post that you’re hiring copywriters. Here are some of many reasons why you should consider me! Looking forward to hearing from you guys!” wrote a LinkedIn user Rohit Sethia while sharing an 11-page deck for a job at Swiggy."

The first page of the job application stated, “Copywriter hungry for Swiggy! Hi Swiggy, saw your post about hiring copywriters. Hungry for my skills? See my deck.” The applicant mentioned following Zomato on Instagram for competitive insights. Sethia portrayed himself as a humorous individual and an aspiring stand-up comedian. To support this claim, he shared a picture of himself with Anubhav Singh Bassi. Additionally, he asserted staying up-to-date with trends, highlighting a screen time of over 7 hours.

After Sethia’s job application attracted traction on LinkedIn, Swiggy dropped a comment on it. The company wrote, “Rohit, if you were attempting to get our attention, it’s safe to say, you’ve hit the right spot. Thank you for showcasing your eagerness to work with Swiggy. We’re equally eager to welcome new talent and fresh ideas to Swiggy. We’ll let the team take over and proceed with the next steps. Wishing you luck and success!” Meanwhile, Devanshi Dhingra, who was working as an Assistant Manager of content in Swiggy, also dropped a comment. She wrote, “Someone knew how to stand out from hundreds of applicants. We have heard you, Rohit, and we’ll get back to you.”

Apart from these two replies, the post garnered more than 9,000 likes, and over 450 comments and has been reshared more than 100 times.  One of the LinkedIn users wrote, "This is the best pitching deck I have seen in a while. I am sure Zomato will have a response for this.” Another added, “So cool.” “Awesome!” shared a third. A fourth commented, “If Swiggy won’t hire, then Zomato is on the waiting list, I’m sure. Perfect pitching deck.” However, the funniest one was Zohan Sayed, who wrote, " Hey we would love to see your resignation."
