Leading the Charge: Delhi Police's Display of Women Power to Steal Spotlight at 74th Republic
As Bharat is all set to celebrate its 74th Republic Day one of the key highlights will be the women power that will be on display of several marching contigents
New Delhi: As India gears up to celebrate its 74th Republic Day, a standout feature will be the prominent presence of women power in various marching contingents. Among them, the Delhi Police will proudly display a dedicated women's marching contingent on the prestigious Kartavya Path during the upcoming Republic Day parade.
Officials from the Delhi Police have confirmed that a contingent of 144 women, representing various departments within the force, will take part in the parade. Notably, alongside the women marching contingent, a women's band will add a harmonious touch, synchronizing their steps with the musical beats.
In addition to the Delhi Police, sources suggest that other paramilitary forces such as the Indian Tibetan Border Police, Seema Sashastra Bal (SSB), and CISF may also feature women marching contingents in this year's Republic Day celebrations.
Republic Digital witnessed a practice session on Monday featuring the Delhi Police marching and band contingent. A woman sub-inspector from the Delhi Police expressed her excitement, stating, "It is a matter of pride for me. We are practicing rigorously and receiving guidance from our seniors."
The commitment to highlighting women's leadership extends beyond the Delhi Police, as even the Indian defense forces ensure women take the lead in some marching contingents. On Monday, a marching contingent of the Indian Navy, led by women officers, was spotted practicing at the Kartavya Path. The collective effort underscores the significance of women's representation and leadership in the grand celebration of India's Republic Day.
