PM Modi interacts with 250 students from J&K at his Delhi residence

PM Modi on Sunday interacted with students of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) at his Delhi residence, who are touring the country as part of ‘Watan Ko Jano’ programme.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday interacted with students of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) at his Delhi residence, who are touring the country as part of ‘Watan Ko Jano’ programme.

As many as 250 students representing almost every district of J&K met the prime minister and shared their experience of touring various parts of the country. All the students looked quite excited and happy as they met PM Modi in Delhi.

All 250 students come from underprivileged background, says an official

An official source informed that all these students, who are being taken on the tour, come from an underprivileged background and poor families. The J&K government has selected them to provide them the required exposure to the country’s culture, heritage and traditions.

According to the information, the students have so far visited Jaipur, Ajmer and Delhi.

The ‘Watan Ko Jano’ programme is aimed at giving exposure to the youth and children of Jammu and Kashmir.
