Going out in New Year? Follow these traffic advisories for Delhi, Gurugram and Noida

Traffic advisory for Delhi, Noida, Gurugram: The traffic police in Delhi-NCR have issued additional instructions and regulations to maintain safety in anticipation of big gatherings in different areas of the city. Traffic advisory for Delhi
Delhi Traffic Police made elaborate traffic arrangements throughout the city for the smooth flow and regulation of traffic on the eve of New Year covering whole of Delhi where such celebrations may be organized. The following restrictions shall be imposed from 8.00 PM onwards on 31.12.2023 in the vicinity of Delhi till the conclusion of New Year Celebrations. It will be applicable to all private and public transport vehicles.
• No vehicle shall be allowed to proceed towards Connaught Place beyond (i) R/A Mandi House (ii) R/A Bengali Market (iii) North foot of Ranjit Singh Flyover (iv) Minto Road - Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Marg crossing (v) Chelmsford Road near Munje Chowk (New Delhi Rly. Station) (vi) R.K. Ashram Marg-Chitragupta Marg Crossing (vii) R/A Gole Market (viii) R/A G.P.O., New Delhi (vii) Patel Chowk (ix) Kasturba Gandhi Road - Ferozeshah Road Crossing (x) Jai Singh Road-Bangla Sahib Lane (xi) R/A Windsor place.
• No vehicular traffic shall be allowed in inner, middle or outer circle of Connaught Place except for those that are carrying valid Passes.
Special Checkings
• Strict action shall be taken against drunken driving (u/s 185 MVA), over speeding (U/S 112/183 MVA), stunt biking, reckless driving, zig-zag and dangerous driving (U/S 184 MVA)
etc.
• Detective cameras are installed to prosecute the violators.
• Special drive have been initiated in all over Delhi.
• Staff with Alcometer have been deployed at various junctions.
• Strict actions will be taken against stunt bikers

Traffic advisory for Noida
The Noida Police has issued a traffic advisory for December 31, and cautioned the public about diversions that will come up near crowded markets and shopping malls on New Year's Eve.
The police also warned of strict action in the form of hefty fines and vehicle seizures against those found flouting the traffic rules, especially in cases of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
In the advisory, the police said various traffic arrangements and diversions will be made to reduce vehicle congestion on roads on New Year's Eve.
Diversions in Noida
The diversions will come up near the Sector 18 market, shopping malls such as the Greater Indian Place, DLF Mall of India, Gardens Galleria, Centre Stage Mall, Logix, Spectrum, Starling Edge, SkyOne and the Advant Navis in Noida and Ansal, Venice Mall and Gaur City Mall, Pari Chow, Jagat Farm in Greater Noida, according to the police advisory.
The police advised the people to only park their vehicles at designated parking lots and not leave those on the roads or unauthorised spots.

“Commuters are advised to park their vehicles at the designated parking spots only. Parking on the roads will be strictly prohibited and vehicle parked on the road will be towed away by Gurugram Traffic Police,” Gurugram Traffic Police said.
