Visuals show Jadeja walking through the water with two young girls on his shoulder. The video was shot in Tankara Town, Morbi District. According to the reports, students were stuck in a school in Kalyanpur after a heavy downpour for five long hours. Apparently, officials sought help from the police and Constable Prithviraj Singh Jadeja was a part of the team that took the call and rescued students.

Initially, school authorities and district administration called upon NDRF, but the deluge was too severe for immediate assistance, so Gujarat Police decided to volunteer and reached the spot. One by one, the students were brought out. Constable Jadeja then carried the two schoolgirls on his shoulders even as water currents were strong. However, he got them to safety.

"We received information regarding the presence of over 40 people trapped near Kalyaan road. Our team reached to the spot and rescued everyone. The situation was such that there was no time to think. People had to be rescued at any cost. So I carried both children on my shoulders," said Jadeja

As soon as the clip went viral, many people lauded the constable and his actions, including Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani.

"A man in uniform on duty...!!" tweeted Rupani.

Netizens also praised the brave cop for his duty:
