Guwahati Police makes breakthrough in Central Mall grenade blast case, two ULFA workers arrested and explosives seized
A day after a grenade blasted opposite Central Mall, Zoo Road in Assam's Guwahati, Police has said that they have cracked the case. Police Commissioner Deepak Kumar on Thursday said that they have arrested a man and a woman who belongs to ULFA.

In a media briefing, Police Commissioner said that they have raided a house and arrested two people linked to ULFA - L. He also added that 9mm pistol, 25 rounds, bomb-making equipment, ULFA literature, and approximately 20 kg gunpowder have been recovered.
On Wednesday, at 8 pm, a grenade blast was reported outside a mall on Zoo road. Soon after, two people were reportedly killed and all injured were moved to Guwahati Medical College Hospital. ULFA-I (Independent) took responsibility for the attack and it is believed to have targeted a CRPF convoy.
