Hospital Hosts Wedding in ICU to Fulfill Ailing Father's Wish to See Daughters Get Married | VIDEO

Lucknow: Two daughters got married in an ICU to fulfil their bed-ridden critical father's wish to see them get married, the video of which has gone viral on social media. Their father, Mohammed Iqbal, was admitted to the ICU at Era Medical College Hospital a few days back over a serious health issue.

The 51-year-old was supposed to be a part of his daughters' wedding - Tanvila and Darkashan - this month but just as the wedding dates approached, he found himself hospitalised due to a severe chest infection.

A resident of Lucknow Chowk, Iqbal was advised against discharge to attend the wedding of his two daughters. However, the hospital authorities permitted his daughters to get married inside the ICU without causing any disturbance to other patients in the ICU. In the video, it could be seen his daughter and son-in-law dressed in the hospital uniform quietly performing a nikah in the presence of a Maulana. Iqbal said he felt lucky to have witnessed his daughters' weddings. 

While some users on social media hailed the hospital authorities for their kind gesture, some were quick to call them out demanding a stern action against them.
