Former Union Minister P Chidambaram has expressed his criticism on the Prime Minister’s statement “Everything is good in India” at the NRG Stadium on Sunday.
Former Union Minister P Chidambaram has expressed his criticism on the Prime Minister’s statement 'Everything is good in India' at the NRG Stadium on Sunday. Chidambaram tweeted that everything is good in India except for unemployment and loss of jobs with wage rate going down, mob violence and opposition leaders ending up in prison.
PM's assurance on Howdy Modi
The term ‘Howdy Modi’ stands for ‘How do you do Modi’. PM Modi said, that when people ask Howdy Modi, they are asking 130-crore people living in India whether how are they doing, and the answer to that is 'everything is good in India' PM Modi said as an assurance.
About 'Howdy Modi'
PM Narendra Modi on Sunday addressed Indian-Americans at the 'Howdy Modi' event in Houston along with Donald Trump. It was for the first time that an Indian Prime Minister and the United States President shared a stage together to address a record crowd of over 50,000 Indian-Americans with the presence of up to 60 US lawmakers. The event highlighted the contribution of Indian-Americans in the United States and the strong and lasting partnership between the US and India.
Apart from Chidambaram, Congress leader Anand Sharma has also tweeted to express his dissent to the Prime Minister's speech at the NRG Stadium on Sunday. Chidambaram was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on August 21 in INX media case. He is being investigated by both the CBI and the ED in money laundering case related to INX media and is currently in Tihar jail. Chidambaram in his earlier tweet has informed that his family is tweeting on his behalf as he is in prison.
