Illegal Immigration Nexus to Facilitate Bangladeshi Infiltrators Busted in Delhi, BJP Slams AAP
Delhi Police has busted a major illegal immigration racket, arresting 11 individuals, including document forgers, Aadhaar operators, and tech experts
New Delhi: Delhi Police have uncovered a major illegal immigration racket from Bangladesh, arresting 11 individuals, including document forgers, Aadhaar operators, and tech experts involved in running fake websites, news agency PTI reported.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) South, Ankit Chauhan, stated that the accused aided Bangladeshi nationals by fabricating counterfeit Aadhaar cards, voter IDs, and other forged documents through a fraudulent website.
While speaking to ANI, DCP Chauhan said that the illegal immigrants used jungle routes and express trains to enter Indian territory.
He further mentioned that till now 11 accused arrested who facilitate Bangladeshi nationals using forged IDs via fake websites.
The accused used fake Aadhaar, voter ID cards, and other documents created using forged IDs via a fake website, he added.
Delhi Lieutenant Governor has directed the Chief Secretary and the Commissioner of Police to launch a two-month special drive to identify and take strict action against illegal Bangladeshi immigrants residing in the national capital.
According to Delhi police sources over 1000 illegal Bangladeshi immigrants have been identified so far across the city.
The police operation involved door-to-door verification, scrutiny of documents, and interrogations. Special teams comprising local police and foreign cells were deployed to conduct targeted operations.
Arvind Kejriwal ’s AAP is actively facilitating illegal immigration of Rohingyas and Bangladeshi: Amit Malviya
BJP IT Cell chief Amit Malviya took a dig at the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and its leader Arvind Kejriwal for allegedly aiding the illegal immigration of Bangladeshi nationals and Rohingyas into Delhi. In a post on X, Malviya stated, "Arvind Kejriwal’s AAP is actively facilitating illegal immigration of Rohingyas and Bangladeshi nationals in Delhi through a well-organized network. To divert attention from this anti-national operation, he falsely accused the BJP of canceling voter cards of Poorvanchalis. Now, both his tactics and lies have been thoroughly exposed."
The post further read, "Delhi Police has uncovered a racket involved in creating fake Aadhaar and voter ID cards, along with the technology experts behind a fraudulent website. They also debunked Kejriwal’s baseless claim about the cancellation of voter cards for Poorvanchali women."
