New Delhi: Ahead of India’s 78th Independence Day celebration on August 15, Delhi Traffic Police has issued a comprehensive traffic advisory for the full dress rehearsal scheduled to be held on August 13. The advisory covers road closures, alternative routes, and vehicle restrictions, urging commuters to plan their journeys accordingly.

Here are the key points from the Delhi Traffic Police advisory for the full dress rehearsal on August 13 for the Independence Day function:

Road Closures (4 am to 11 am on August 13):

• Netaji Subhash Marg
• Lothian Road
• SP Mukherjee Marg
• Chandni Chowk Road
• Nishad Raj Marg
• Esplanade Road and its Link Road
• Ring Road from Rajghat to ISBT
• Outer Ring Road from ISBT to IP Flyover

Vehicles without parking labels for rehearsal should avoid

• C-Hexagon
• India Gate
• Copernicus Marg
• Mandi House
• Sikandra Road
• W Point
• A Point Tilak Marg
• Mathura Road
• BSZ Marg
• JL Nehru Marg
• Ring Road between Nizamuddin Khatta and ISBT Kashmere Gate
• Outer Ring Road from Nizamuddin Khatta to ISBT Kashmere Gate via Salimgarh Bypass

Alternative Routes:

Restrictions for Goods Vehicles:

• No movement between Nizamuddin and Wazirabad bridges from August 12 midnight to 11 am on August 13.

Restrictions for Inter-State Buses:

• No buses between Maharana Pratap ISBT and Sarai Kale Khan ISBT during the same period.

City Bus Restrictions:

• DTC and other city buses will not ply on Ring Road from August 12 midnight to 11 am on August 13
• Buses must take alternative routes

Restrictions for Buses:

• Avoid Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, Tilak Marg, Subash Marg, Ring Road between Akhara Chandgi Ram and Hazrat Nizamuddin Bridge

Event Restrictions:

• Do not bring cameras, binoculars, remote control car keys, umbrellas, handbags, briefcases, transistors, cigarette lighters, tiffin boxes, water bottles or lunch boxes.

Aerial Restrictions:

• Flying of paragliders, para-motors, hang gliders, UAVs, micro-light aircraft, remotely piloted aircraft, hot air balloons, quadcopters, or para jumping from aircraft is prohibited until August 15.
