Continuing its crackdown on fake news in the Valley, sources in the Indian Army, on Thursday have reportedly claimed that the tweet posted by Pakistan's Major General Asif Ghafoor is a hoax. Ghafoor had baselessly claimed on Tuesday in his tweet that the Indian fire had martyred 3 civilians. He went on to claim that six Indian soldiers had been killed while destroying two Indian Army bunkers. He claimed this occured when the Pakistan Army fired along the Line of Control (LOC) in the Tatta Pani sector.

Army sets the record straight

Sources have further reported that the Indian Army claims that the tweet shared by Ghafoor, who is the Spokesperson of the Pakistan Armed Forces using his official handle (DG ISPR) proves that 'Pakistan as a nation is only propaganda machinery'. Meanwhile, setting the record straight, the Indian Army allegedly suffered one fatal casualty and four non-fatal casualties while replying to Pakistan's cross-fire violation, as per sources. The Army has promptly shared the information to the press. This is also covered by the media on a national basis.

Explaining the intention behind Pakistan Army's attempts at sharing false casualty numbers, the Indian Army states that it is 'Pakistan's deliberate design to up the ante along the LOC to desperately seek international attention, according to sources. They also added that unlike the Pakistan Army, the Indian Army never hides the casualties. This statement is aimed at dismissing all rumours about false casualties. Pakistan has been spreading false rumours since the abrogation of article 370.

Pakistan Fake News Factory: Now, Imran Khan's Minister Shamefully Peddles Old Haryana Video Claiming It's From Kashmir

Pak minister 'fake video'

Previously, on Tuesday, a Pakistani leader shared a fake video claiming it to be of Kashmir. The video shared by the Pakistan leader Arsalan Siddiqy, claiming it to be Kashmir video, shows a 2017 mock drill of police from Madhya Pradesh. In a brazen attempt, the Pak social media user went on to allege that the Muslims in Jammu and Kashmir are facing the worst kind of genocide taking place. This was then found out to be a 2017 mock drill carried out by the Madhya Pradesh police. Siddiqy tried to instill fear in the name of Kashmir.

Pakistan Leader Peddles Fake News On Kashmir, Posts Video From MP

Pakistan's fake news factory

From prominent ministers of Imran Khan to ISI, the neighbouring country is showing desperation over Kashmir issue and promulgating fake news in an attempt to instigate a 'social media propaganda war' over the abrogation of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir in India. Pakistan Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Haider Zaidi in a tweet tried to "show" the world in what he claimed to be a video from the Kashmir valley. However, exposing its fake propaganda, it was soon established that the video was an old video from Haryana from 2017. Apart from this, Pakistan PM Imran Khan himself has been fearmongering over Kashmir since the abrogation of article 370. He had also approached UNSC for intervention, only to face humiliation after being told by the international body that Kashmir issue was a bilateral agreement.
