JK DGP flags off vehicles 'RAKSHAK' & 'SHAURYA' to augment regional security

In the wake of a recent terror incident in the heart of Srinagar's downtown area, where Inspector Masroor Wani was critically injured, the Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) today  unveiled a new fleet of advanced vehicles, named "RAKSHAK" and "SHAURYA".

These vehicles signify more than just a technological upgrade rather a powerful symbols of the dedication and sacrifices of the brave men and women of the JKP who work tirelessly to ensure the safety and security of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

The introduction of these state-of-the-art vehicles is timely, given the attempts by Pakistan-sponsored terror outfits to target people like Inspector Masroor, who was injured while playing cricket with locals on October 29 at Eidgah ground.

These advanced vehicles come equipped with cutting-edge features, promising to revolutionize policing in Jammu and Kashmir and provide a robust response to any situation impacting public safety.

At the core of these vehicles are their advanced surveillance equipment, which enhances monitoring and evidence collection capabilities. 

Such technology empowers the JKP to address law and order issues and maintain regional security, as expressed by DGP Dilbagh Singh in a flag off ceremony at Armed Police Complex , Zewan in Srinagar 

Moreover, these vehicles can accommodate up to eight persons, making them valuable assets in various operational scenarios.

DGP Dilbagh Singh said, "It's the police force and their sacrifices that inspired the names "RAKSHAK" and "SHAURYA" .

DGP Singh added that " these names symbolize the stories of each policeman who has made tremendous sacrifices in the line of duty and represent the spirit of the police force,".

As far as the specification of these high-tech vehicles goes, they are cutting-edge in terms of technology, their significance extends beyond their features. They serve as invaluable assets for the officers who protect and serve, providing vital support for those who risk their lives to ensure security and peace in J&K.
