Kejriwal introduces a new initiative to make Delhi pothole-free
Arvind Kejriwal, Chief Minister of Delhi, launched a campaign on October 5 to make Delhi pothole-free which will be undertaken by the Public Works Department.

Arvind Kejriwal, Chief Minister of Delhi, launched a campaign on October 5 to make Delhi pothole-free. This initiative will be undertaken by the Public Works Department (PWD) under his government. Kejriwal took to social media to let people know of this initiative. The tweets roughly translate to Kejriwal announcing that the campaign to make roads pit-free has already started. He added that 50 MLAs will be inspecting the streets, covering about 25kms. Furthermore, he stated that the roads of Delhi are at the moment being inspected. He elucidated on the process mentioning that images are to be taken of the potholes along with its details on an application. This happens to be the first large-scale inspection of the streets according to Kejriwal. The CM assured that even with the ongoing rainfall, there have been no reports of inconvenience, hence, the campaign is to be carried out.

Delhi to be pothole-free
The CM of Delhi has stated his vision of making Delhi pothole-free. Kejriwal assured that after the inspection of the roads, the PWD will launch a drive to repair the conditions of the streets. This city-wide exercise is to start on October 5, 2019. 50 MLAs accompanied by engineers will be inspecting the roads to form cohesive documentation on the condition of Delhi streets.
