LG Sinha Vows to Avenge 'Every Drop of Blood Spilled' After Recent Terror Attacks

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said on Saturday that every drop of innocent blood shed in the valley will be avenged, pledging to use all available resources to dismantle the terror ecosystem. Speaking at the BSF passing out-cum-attestation parade at STC, Humhama, he condemned Pakistan for its ongoing terror activities in the region.The ceremony marked the induction of 629 recruits into the border-guarding force.The LG congratulated the new recruits for joining the BSF and encouraged them to fulfill their duties to the nation and its people with the highest dedication and sensitivity.LG Sinha on recent terror attacksCommenting on recent terror attacks in Ganderbal and Baramulla districts, the LG noted that terrorists targeted "our courageous soldiers, civilians, infrastructure workers, and laborers from outside the region.""Unfortunately, we have a neighbour who since the time of independence has continuously engaged in terrorist activities in Jammu and Kashmir. Despite the poverty and hunger afflicting its citizens, it persists with its unholy actions of supporting terrorism and trafficking narcotics," he said."It has been resolved that every drop of blood shed will be avenged by our security forces. In such a situation, India's first line of defence must fulfil its duties with greater vigilance," he added.A local doctor and six non-local laborers were shot and killed by terrorists at a tunnel-construction site in Gagangir, Ganderbal, on Sunday. Meanwhile, an earlier attack near the popular tourist destination of Gulmarg in Baramulla on Thursday resulted in the deaths of four people, including two soldiers.Sinha stated that the goal of the government and security forces is to eliminate terrorism and foster an environment where citizens can achieve their dreams and aspirations."The Border Security Force has consistently played its role in achieving this vision. We must assure the public that continuous, effective and strict action will be taken against terrorists and their support structure. Using the whole-of-government approach, we are committed to utilising all available capabilities to dismantle the ecosystem of terrorism," he said.The LG emphasized that enhancing the anti-terrorism grid through collaboration among the BSF, Army, police, and other agencies is a key priority for the government."The counter-terror grid has been strengthened with coordination between the security agencies. A multi-pronged strategy has been put in place to prevent infiltration," he said.Sinha said the security forces have launched a massive crackdown against narco-terror networks.“A significant progress has been made in choking terror finance and taking exemplary action against those aiding and abetting terrorism,” he said.The LG urged for regular interactions between security forces personnel and youth, particularly NCC cadets from the Kashmir valley, to inspire them to join the forces."The BSF plays a crucial role in all operations to prevent infiltration and safeguard India's borders," he said.
