Man Threatens To Bomb UP CM Yogi Adityanath In 5 Days, Prayagraj Police Nabs Him

Prayagraj Police have arrested a man for threatening UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath claiming that he will blow up CM Yogi with a bomb within 5 days.

Prayagraj: The Prayagraj Police have arrested a man for threatening UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath claiming that he will blow up CM Yogi with a bomb within 5 days. The sensational case of threatening the Uttar Pradesh chief minister has surfaced in Sangam City Prayagraj. The accused has been identified as Anirudh Pandey, who threatened to blow up Yogi Adityanath with a bomb in a post on social media platform X.

The accused not only posted the threatening message, but also tagged the UP Police, UP STF, DM of Prayagraj and Police Commissioner in his post.

As soon as the threat message surfaced on social media, the police immediately jumped into action and arrested the accused after tracing him in Prayagraj. An FIR has also been registered against the accused and further legal action is being taken.

Accused Wanted To Gain Headlines, Says Police Souce

The police sources claimed that to gain limelight and publicity, the accused threatened the chief minister.

According to the police sources, the accused claimed that he was earlier associated with the BJP and was also an official in the party's student wing ABVP. During interrogation, he reportedly claimed that he posted the message threatening CM Yogi Adityanath to gain headlines.

Reports suggested that accused Anirudh Pandey, on his X handle, has described himself as a former student leader of the Allahabad Central University and also claimed to have been associated with the BJP in the past and had been an office bearer in ABVP. Pandey is a resident of Malwa Khurd Village of Ganganagar zone of Prayagraj.

Further legal action is being taken against the accused.
