Manjinder Sirsa slams Kejriwal over belated move on women's safety
SAD MLA Manjinder Sirsa slammed the Delhi CM for his “chameleon form”, accusing him of introducing a women's safety measure to reap benefits in the election
On Monday, Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) MLA from Rajouri Garden constituency Manjinder Singh Sirsa slammed Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for his “chameleon form” ahead of the elections. He was reacting to the Kejriwal-led Delhi Government’s announcement regarding women's safety. Sirsa alleged that the Delhi CM not only did not take any steps for women's safety until now but also did not tweet about it a single time. He accused CM Kejriwal of announcing these measures for political mileage in the upcoming Assembly elections.
Marshals on Delhi buses
Earlier, the Delhi CM announced an important step for the safety of women using public transport. He stated that 13,000 marshals would be deployed on public buses. He contended that they would also help patients having poor health. Furthermore, he claimed that Delhi was the only state in the country to implement such an initiative.
Delhi Govt increases minimum wage
Moreover, the Delhi Government took a decision to increase the minimum wages of workers to Rs.14,832 per month. Writing on microblogging website Twitter, CM Kejriwal claimed that this was the highest minimum wage anywhere in the country. He also highlighted that this would enable the poor to tackle recession, ameliorate their economic condition, and generate demand.
