Maoists torch 4 vehicles, assault private firm employees in Jharkhand's Latehar
The police informed that a group of Maoists reached the site and burnt three vehicles and an SUV and assaulted the employees.

At least four vehicles were torched and employees of a private firm were assaulted by members of the banned CPI (Maoist) at a railway construction site on Monday evening. The incident took place at Chandwa village in Jharkhand’s Latehar district.
According to news agency PTI, the incident was reported near Chatti river bridge within Chandwa police station limits.
A group of Maoists reached the site and torched three heavy vehicles and an SUV, the police informed, adding that the employees of the firm were also assaulted.
The Police reached the spot soon after receiving the information and started an investigation into the matter.
Notably, the incident occurred exactly a month after six vehicles were set on fire and two employees of a private road construction company were assaulted by members of banned CPI (Maoist) in Jharkhand’s Palamu district. According to the police, around 15 Maoists reached the road construction site and beat up two clerks of the company.
