Massive Fire Breaks Out at Trikuta Nagar Scrapyard in Jammu, Rescue Operation Underway

Jammu: A massive fire broke out in the Trikuta Nagar area of Jammu on Sunday. The fire, which broke out on Sunday evening, reportedly spread rapidly leading to a chaotic situation in the area. On information, the local police along with the team of fire-fighters rushed to the spot and efforts to control the fire were initiated. As per the police officials, the fire broke out at a scrapyard in Trikuta Nagar area, during which a thick plume of smoke engulfed the entire area. 

According to the fire officials, no reports of injury or casualty have surfaced so far. The police and the fire personnel are at the spot at present. 

The cause of the fire is not known yet. The police are probing the incident to ascertain the truth behind the fire incident. 

Talking to media personnel, SDM Jammu South, Manu Hansa said, "We have controlled the fire to a big extent. Fire tenders are present here. We will be able to douse the fire completely soon. The fire is contained in the scrapyard only. It has not reached the residential area. There has been no casualty."
