'We Expect All Issues To Be Resolved by...': Ministry of Civil Aviation on Microsoft Global Outage
The Ministry of Civil Aviation has issued a statement on the disruptions caused by the Microsoft Global Outage; all issues are expected to be resolved by noon.
New Delhi: The Ministry of Civil Aviation has issued a statement, giving an update on the airline systems after the global outage yesterday.
The Microsoft Global Outage has severely affected the airline systems in India; many flights were cancelled and quite a few were delayed due to the IT disruption.
Microsoft Global Outage: Ministry of Civil Aviation Issues Statement
The Ministry of Civil Aviation has issued a statement with respect to the airline service disruptions caused by the Microsoft Global Outage yesterday.
The update on the same as per the statement says that the airline systems have started to function normally again.
'Flight Ops Going Smoothly, Airline Systems Normal'
The statement reads, “Since 3 AM in the night, airline systems across airports have started working normally. Flight operations are going smoothly now.”
‘We Expect All Issues To Be Resolved By Noon Today’: Civil Aviation Ministry
The update also says, “There is a backing because of disruptions yesterday, and it is getting cleared gradually. By noon today, we expect all issues to be resolved.”
Civil Aviation Ministry on Refunds and Readjustments
Also highlighting that refunds and readjustments are being offered to troubled passengers, the Civil Aviation Ministry's statement says, “We are constantly monitoring the operations at our airports and also with the airlines ensuring travel readjustments and refunds are taken care of. We thank you for your patience.”
