Mohan Yadav set to take oath as Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister on December 13
Expressing his gratitude Yadav said he is happy that the party has given him a huge responsibility to an ordinary worker like him.
Bhopal: The newly named Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav is set to take an oath for the state government on December 13, Wednesday around 2:00 pm.
Speaking to reporters Yadav said, "The oath ceremony will be held the day after tomorrow, December 13."
Along with Yadav, Deputy Chief Minister-designates Rajendra Shukla and Jagdish Devda will also be taking their oath.
Expressing his gratitude Yadav said he is happy that the party has given him a huge responsibility to an ordinary worker like him.
"Besides the party, I also express gratitude to the people of the entire state who formed the BJP government with a thumping majority."
He told news agency ANI, "The party won the love and faith of 8.5 crore people. We are thankful to all of them for being chosen as their leader. The way the BJP is progressing under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we will take the caravan of development forward under his leadership."
Yadav added that he will take forward the development works started by former CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
Poonam Chand Yadav, father of Mohan Yadav after his son was elected as the new Chief Minister said," I never thought that my son would become the chief minister of the state but it the blessings of Mata and Baba Mahakal."
Yadav is the first Chief Minister from the OBC Community. He was earlier elected as the leader of the BJP's legislative party. In 2013, he became an MLA for the first time from Ujjain Dakshin's seat. He was once again elected for the seat in 2018.
