MP: Security beefed up at MP CM-designate Mohan Yadav's residence in Ujjain

Security was increased at BJP leader Mohan Yadav's Ujjain home hours after the Bhartiya Janata Party named him the new chief minister of Madhya Pradesh.

Chief Superintendent of police  Sumit Agarwal told ANI, “The newly-elected CM's residence comes under this Police station limits. So, security arrangements have been made here as per protocol.”

The newly elected Madhya Pradesh's Chief Minister Mohan Yadav is set to take an oath foir the state government on December 13, Wednesday around 2:00 pm.

Speaking to reporters Yadav said, “The oath ceremony will be held the day after tomorrow, December 13.”

Along with Yadav, Deputy Chief Minister- designate Rajendra Shukla and Jagdish Devda will also be taking oath.

“Besides the party, I also express gratitude to the people of the entire state who formed the BJP government with a thumping majority," Yadav told ANI.

He further told news agency ANI, "The party won the love and faith of 8.5 crore people. We are thankful to all of them for being chosen as their leader. The way the BJP is progressing under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we will take the caravan of development forward under his leadership."

Yadav added that he will take forward the development works started by former CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

Abhishek Yadav, son of Madhya Pradesh CM-designate Mohan Yadav told ANI, "This reflects the ideology of the organisation. He has been dedicated to the organisation since 1982...He has now covered a distance of 40 years and now he has been assigned the responsibility of the Chief Minister. He will carry out the duties of the responsibility very well...I had never thought that he would be the Chief Minister but he used to give his everything to every work he did. It feels good..."
 

Poonam Chand Yadav, father of Mohan Yadav after his son was elected as the new Chief Minister said," I never thought that my son would become the chief minister of the state but it the blessings of Mata and Baba Mahakal."

Yadav is the first Chief Minister from the OBC Community. He was earlier elected as the leader of the BJP's legislative party. In 2013, he became an MLA for the first time from Ujjain Dakshin's seat. He was once again elected for the seat in 2018. (With inputs from ANI)
