Mysuru: A complaint was lodged against Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah at Vijayanagar Police Station in Mysuru. The NCR registered a complaint against CM Siddaramaiah, his wife Parvathy, his brother-in-law Mallikarjuna Swamy, Devaraj, who claimed to be a land owner and his family. The complaint also alleges the involvement of the deputy commissioner, tahsildar, deputy registrar and MUDA officials in the same case.

It is alleged that the Mysore Urban Development Authority was allegedly cheated by creating fake documents and obtaining plots worth crores of rupees.

The complaint was filed by social activist Snehamayi Krishna. Along with the police, the letter has also been written to the governor, the state chief secretary and the principal secretary of the revenue department. Snehamayi Krishna has raised several questions related to the case through the letter.

Below are the allegations levelled by social activist Snehamayi Krishna against Siddaramaiah and his family…

1. In Parvathy's case (land allotted to CM's wife), there is doubt about the gazette, which has been dropped from land acquisition.

2. Question about Devaraj's existence as the son of the original land owner.

3. If it is true that land was excluded from possession in 1998, why is there a mention of land acquisition in RTCs up to 2010?

4. If the land was owned by Devaraj and later Mallikarjuna Swamy, why was the development work of the authority not stopped?

5. While transferring the land deed in the name of Mallikarjuna and Parvathy, was the plot not inspected?

6. How did this account for agricultural land even though MUDA was found to have developed it?

7. Why is there no mention of many documents, including the family tree of the actual land owner, the death certificate, etc?

8. What is the reason for dropping the acquisition of 3.16 acres of land in Survey No. 464 of Kesare village?

9. If Mallikarjuna Swamy alienated the land in 2005 itself, why is there no mention in the RTCs?

10. Was there any powerful person behind this?

11. Section 10 of the RTC for the year 2004-05 mentions MR8/92-93. The MR shows that it belongs to one Marappa.

12. It is a big suspicion that the address of Devaraj's family, who sold the land to Mallikarjuna Swamy, is not there.

Snehamayi Krishna while speaking to Republic alleged, "There are a lot of discrepancies in the documents, which have been presented before MUDA. There seems to be foul play here in allotting plots to Parvathy, the wife of CM Siddarmaiah, therefore I have lodged a complaint against him. There is so much suspicion in the case and therefore it should be thoroughly investigated. The reply has to be given within 10 days.

Otherwise, I will file a public interest litigation in the state High Court."

Meanwhile, CM Siddaramaiah has said that these allegations are false and baseless and stated that the MUDA had to give them land, which was acquired from his wife and there was encroachment too.

Speaking to the media, he said, “MUDA acquired three acres and 16 guntas of land, which is to the tune of over Rs 60 crores. Our land was also encroached upon and therefore they have given us a plot.”

He said, "The MUDA should give us land for land. We had not asked for any specific area. When was the site given? It was given in 2021, the BJP was in power then and they had given the plot. Our land has been made into a park, should I leave my site? Who is at fault? Am I at fault? Who was in power in the state? The land given is wrong, the land value will be Rs 62 crore; let them give it to us, and let them take the plot back. I do not know about the land value given."
